Wedding FAQ’S
I just got engaged! Where do I start?
First of all, Congratulations! Breathe… I suggest looking through some wedding books, do google searchs of wedding flowers to see what you like. If you haven’t given thought to wedding flowers before just keep in mind that with most brides it is a process. Seldom do we decide on the first consultation exactly what to create. Over time the winning combination emerges. However, most brides leave our first consultation encourged and excited about the possibilities.
Do you offer free consultations?
Yes, we offer a free 60 minute initial consultation. Before the consultation I will email you some questions about colors, favorite flower varieties, venue, etc to help me prepare for our consultation. I ask that you bring to the consultation: Pictures of flowers/bouquets that you like, color swatches if available, and your vision for your wedding-elegant, fun, etc. After I get an idea of what you want and your flower budget I will make suggestions on how we can create that for you.
How far in advance should I contact you?
Ideally as soon as possible after saying “yes”. Most brides can’t wait to start planning, especially the flowers. I normally don’t book weddings more than 18 monthes in advance. I have also created wedding flowers with 1 week’s notice. The most important thing is to get on my schedule. Once I have reserved the time for your wedding we can take our time planning.
When do I pay for my flowers?
When I reserve the time and date for a wedding I recieve a non-refundable deposit. The balance is due 3 weeks prior to your wedding.
Will there be additional costs?
No later than 3 weeks before your wedding we will both sign an agreement stating in detail everything that I will be providing for your wedding and the final costs. No additional costs will be added unless you add items or services to what we have agreed upon.
What services do you offer?
We offer complete planning of your wedding flowers, creation of all floral pieces, delivery and set up. We also offer rentals and transitioning of the venue between the ceremony and reception where needed. If you like we will help pin on corsages and boutonnieres so they are straight and picture perfect. Before we leave the venue we will check with you or someone you designate to make sure everything is just as you want it.
